The real adventure and wonderful experience of life is hidden in exploring new places. Let’s set out towards unknown paths!
Everyone wants adventure at some point in their life. Sometimes the crowded life, work pressure and everyday boredom pull us towards new places. I too set out with this desire last year. Exploring new places, walking on unknown paths, and feeling a new color of experiences became my priority. Today I am going to tell you about some such exciting and amazing places, where you must visit once.
1. Trekking in the heights of the Himalayas

I experienced the heights of the Himalayas for the first time, and frankly, it was the most thrilling journey of my life. The sight of snow-capped peaks, the feeling of cold winds and being self-reliant during trekking were all unforgettable experiences.
Personal experience:
I trekked from Manali to Nanda Devi in Himachal. The route was difficult, but seeing the beauty of nature at every turn made me forget my fatigue.
Tips:
- Get a lightweight and durable bag.
- Carry enough water and snacks with you.
- Choose clothes according to the weather.
2. Desert Adventure

The golden sand dunes of the desert also give a different thrill. I went to the Sam Desert in Rajasthan and the sunset there remained in my eyes. Camel rides, spending the night in a tent, and the simplicity of remote villages were worth experiencing.
Personal experience:
The combination of the redness of the sun and the heat of the sand was amazing for me. The glow of the stars at night and the sound of camels coming from a distance made me feel close to nature.
Tips:
- Sunglasses and hats are necessary to protect yourself from the sun.
- Wear desert shoes, it’s easier to walk in the sand.
- Avoid visiting the desert in summer.
3. Water Sports and Water Adventure
If you want adventures close to water, some of the water sports destinations in India will leave you spellbound. In Goa and Ratnagiri, I experienced jet skiing, parasailing and scuba diving.
Personal experience:
My heart started racing when I was parasailing for the first time. The view of the sea while flying in the air and the sound of the waves below doubled my excitement.
Tips:
- Go on an adventure only with a trained guide.
- Always wear a life jacket.
- Take a camera/Go Pro so the memories last forever.
4. Jungle Safari and Wildlife

Experiencing wildlife has always been fascinating for me. I did jungle safaris in Kanha and Ranthambore. Seeing lions, elephants, and rare birds up close was an amazing experience for me.
Personal experience:
Seeing a lion in its natural habitat fills my heart with joy and fear. The feeling that you are in a wild world is unique.
Tips:
- Leave early in the morning for the trip.
- Be sure to have a camera, but don’t make any noise.
- Follow the natural laws.
5. Mountain Waterfalls and Trails

Walking on trails in mountains is also a part of the adventure. I did trail walking near serene and calm waterfalls in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand.
Personal experience:
The cool drops of water and the fragrance of the forest refreshed me. The fragility and beauty of nature at every turn touched my heart.
Tips:
- Always travel on trails with a guide.
- Wear sneakers and light clothing.
- Carry water and snacks for short trekking.
6. Cave and Mountain Adventures

There are some caves in India which are no less than heaven for adventure lovers. I experienced the caves of Karnataka.

Walking in the dark caves in the light of a lamp was very exciting for me. The rock shapes and small waterfalls at every turn made my trip memorable.
Tips:
- Wear a helmet.
- It is important to follow the guide.
- Carry a flashlight for photography.
7. Adventure Mountain Sports

Sports like skiing, rope climbing, and paragliding add to your thrill. I did skiing in Jammu and Kashmir and paragliding in Kullu.
Personal experience:
I overcame my fear by flying in the air. This experience was the most thrilling moment of my life.
Tips:
- Play only with a trained instructor.
- Always wear safety equipment.
- Start with shorter distances at the beginner level.
8. Adventure Cycling and Hiking

I cycled in Himachal, where the height and slopes tested my courage. Hiking also gives a different thrill.
Personal experience:
After reaching the heights, I realized how wonderful the fruits of hard work are. The cold air and natural environment boosted my energy.
Tips:
- Helmet and safety gear required.
- Carry water and light snacks with you.
- Choose clothes according to the weather.
9. Small Villages and Cultural Experiences

Adventure is not limited to adventure sports only. Travelling to small villages, their culture and spending time with the people can also be exciting. I experienced the folk culture by staying in small villages of Uttarakhand.
Personal Experience:
The simplicity of the village, local food and handmade items was a new experience for me. It reminded me of my roots and culture.
Tips:
- Communicate with the local people.
- Respect their traditions and rules.
- Take pictures on camera/phone, but don’t disturb them.
10. Learn and change while traveling
